Terms and Conditions
Please read the following terms carefully as they include IMPORTANT policies; regarding a Cancellation Fee & Health policy.
Cancellation / Rescheduling Policy
- Please show support and respect by cancelling/ rescheduling appointments with a MINIMUM of 48 hours notice.
- This allows someone else the chance to receive a massage treatment in your place. If you need to change your appointment, please contact me immediately and I will find another suitable time for you.
- Failure to do so will incur a fee of 50% of the treatment cost booked.
- Appointments cancelled within 24hrs of the appointment or missed entirely, “No-Shows”, will require full payment.
Payment Policy
- Payments are to be made in full on the day with exact cash or there are HICAPS/ EFTPOS facilities available for Health Fund Members who have extras cover that include Remedial Massage.
- Invoices are to be paid with 7 days of issue date.
Health Policy
- If you’re feeling ill or showing signs of any cold/flu symptoms; please reschedule your appointment.
- If you have been unwell or travelled overseas – please wait 2 weeks before coming in.
- Please DO NOT attend your appointment if you have:
- Tested positive to, or have symptoms associated with COVID-19.
- Recently been in contact with someone diagnosed with COVID-19.
- Recently been overseas or agreed to any self isolation conditions.
- Have ANY symptoms such as, sore throat, runny nose, cough or fever, etc.
Massage Policy
- Client treatments and chart information are confidential. Written authorization is required from you to release any information regarding your health.
- Your scheduled session is set aside for you. We do not double book appointments.
- Please reschedule your session if you are more than 15 minutes late.
- Cancellations within 24 hrs of treatment will result in being charged the full amount.
- There will be a consultation at the start of every treatment with your therapist, to discuss your session and any information you need to update them on.
- Inappropriate behavior is be tolerated and may be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
- Briefs are to be worn during massage treatments.
Professional Massage Policy
Tarnia Dorrington Remedial Massage provides only professional, health and wellbeing-focused massage. Nothing outside the scope this is provided. Please address your massage therapist the way you would a physiotherapist, chiropractor or medical professional.
Client Disclosure and Consent Agreement Policy
- I understand that remedial massage therapists do not diagnose illness, disease, any physical or mental disorder, nor do they prescribe medical treatment or pharmaceuticals.
- I acknowledge that massage therapy is not a substitute for medical examination or diagnosis, and it is recommended that a physician be seen for that service.
- It is my choice to receive remedial massage as a form of therapy.
- I understand that the treatment given is designed to address the areas of concern, for relaxation purposes, relief of muscular pain/tension and prevention of injury, restoration of movement; with a rehabilitative intent.
- I also undersand that at any time I feel pain or discomfort during the session, I must immediately inform my therapeutic massage therapist so they can adjust the pressure and technique accordingly to my comfort levels.
- I understand that my treatment may include a combination of the following techniques: Myofascial Vacuum Cupping, Dry Needling, Hot Stones, Scrubs, Reflexology, Craniosacral and Music Therapy. (Please advise if you do not wish to have any of these performed in your treatment).
- I have notified the massage therapist of any medical conditions/ injuries and will continue to inform and update the massage therapist of any changes in my physical health before each treatment. I understand that my failure to do so, may result a negative outcome to my health and/physical well being and I hold harmless Tarnia Dorrington Remedial Massage from any liability whatsoever, arising from failure on my part.
